Hi Folks, well my wife and I got out of the house today and drove up to look around
this small town just across the Tennessee-Kentucky State border. The town is called
Franklin (named after Ben). It is the county seat of Simpson County and has a
population of 8,408. I found a few very unique buildings that I just had to photograph.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Sorry about all the pictures, but I found a few
interesting places. All Sony HX-300 Superzoom shots of various exposures, processed
with Photomatrix and PSE10 w/XXL.

Wonderful architecture, fascinating buildings, interesting pp!
The Methodist church is where Johnny and June Cash got married.
I live here in Franklin. Some nice old homes out on West Cedar Street if you ever come back.

First of all my dear friend, don't ever apologize for posting too many pictures. Your subject matter and the quality of your images makes that impossible. I especially like this set, I have a sister that lives in Bardstown and runs a bed and breakfast right across the street from "My Old Kentucky Home". I have wandered all over Ky. and love all the architecture in that area of the country. Thanks for sharing your trip.

Thank you kindly Linda, we decided to check this little town out. Its a couple miles off the Interstate and we usually just pass by, but this time we drove to the town. It was fun. Yes, I'm experimenting with HDR, these are 4 shot HDR, I use EV adjustment to get 4 different exposure then combine them with software. The results are usually very dramatic...not every one likes HDR, but I want learn and grow using it...I see big potential with the method of PP.
Outstanding, James. Especially the Methodist Church finale! Great work on them all. Very much enjoyed your treatments.

Well Hi Willdell, we really enjoyed our short stay in your town and do plan to come back. Maybe when it's a little cooler. Thanks for telling us about Johnny and June. I didn't know that and I appreciate your bringing that great piece of info up. We also saw a Frosty Freeze that had quite a line of people. They much serve good food for folks to stand in the heat. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks Phil, Kentucky is really a beautiful state from one end to the other and one of my favorite states to visit. You are so right and it's big horse country too. The farms near Louisville and Lexington are simply jaw dropping. Hope your continuing to recoupe and getting better and stronger.
