I've lived in Chapel Hill for 21 years. This raccoon is the first one we've ever seen in our yard.

Caught the lil' robber right in the act...good one.
He looks just as surprised to see you.

Boy is he acrobatic. Hanging on determined to get the goodies. Great shot.
That's an adorable shot. Beware though. We've had raccoons destroy our feeders.

I know we have raccoons are our place, but we never see them during the day. This one must have really been hungry to try this! Great capture! :)
Great shot of the masked acrobat.
Amazing! Shutter speed only 1/10 sec without flash. You must have captured him at the transition of movement from swinging up to down. Steady grip too!

They are SUCH a nuisance....but so darn cute. A very nice/fun photo!
Thanks for all your comments.
I didn't realize that I was at 1/10 sec. I had to act fast. I grabbed my camera... threw it in Program Mode and began shooting. I didn't have time... or even thought about settings. Now I know why all but this one were blurred! But it only takes one. My error shows you that I'm far from a pro!

You caught him red-handed!
Love the expression on its face.
