What's going on I tried to load GIMP but I
got a bunch of junk files and other wired stuff also
games . So what did I do wrong
Thanks for any help
There is websites that handle the downloads, and they make their money off of these junk sites. You have to be real careful of what you accept on these sites, especially registry cleaners that they try to sell you. Most of the time it will give you a choice of which site to download from. You can go to Google and check on different sites to use. Some times you have to accept a trial version of some thing then delete it. I found that you want to stay away from the registry programs because they will always find some thing wrong and then try to get you to buy their. product. They also sell your email account name to advertisers, then you will be getting all kinds of junk mail. I been receiving a lot of junk from dating sites lately, so I know some one got my address from some where. Also be careful about answering surveys.

I put this on my computer and had no problem, I always read all of the info if it sounds funky close and go to another gimp download some mirror sites I recognize, don't download all ,READ the info. I would tell you the one I downloaded but I do not remember go to your uninstaller and remove all gimp or other downloads you do not want.

Exactly. When I'm trying to show a friend how to navigate the web and download anything I stress to find the actual manufactures website. Sometimes you have to dig a little but it's worth the effort to not have to deal with some 3rd party BS. I tried GIMP and it's a good program but I'm sticking with Elements 10.
