While gardening, this butterfly/moth alit on the flower and was gracious enough to pose for me. I never thought I could get a shot like this with my gear. Tech: Canon 80D with 18-200 mm lens at 200 mm, 1/640, f/8, ISO 400, and white balance set with Expodisc. Developed in LR with high-pass filter sharpening in PS. Unfortunately, I got that distracting background flower in the picture.

Can someone please identify the butterfly/moth and flower? Thanks.

Addendum: added the second one. A bit out of focus, especially the right antenna. Shows how little the depth of field is.

ABC1234, Excellent and I love the colors. I see another Canon 80D. Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks Greg. You surprised me with your purchase. I thought I had talked you out of it. I hope you appreciate it over the Rebels which I see are gone from your signature.

Yep, you talked me out of it but then the opportunity presented itself so I went for it. So far I am very happy with the update. No buyers remorse and it will take a whole lot for me to do it again.

But then again, you will not have to upgrade it for many years. It will open up a new world for you. Enjoy.
