Have been working on these two images, and they kept evolving on their own. These are supposed to be reminiscent of, "a night at the stalls." The horse is in the courtyard under different conditions.
Which do you prefer..

Comments and suggestions welcome.

They're both nice but I like the Silver version a tad better.

The golden one but perhaps toned down and softened just a tad.

I like the silver version just a skosh better than the gold, but I'd be happy to hang either one of them. In a private discussion with TheeGambler, I offered a slightly different version of the silver version, where the columns and details in the background were brought out just a bit more. She gave me permission to include it here.

They're both exquisite! I'd lean to the silver one, as the gold seems a bit much, and I've never seen a golden horse, even in the sun, lol. Beautiful work on them.

Thanks for the comment Ken. I know what you mean by it being a hard choice. I was having difficulty with that, myself.

Even though they are basically the same scene, there is quite a bit of color difference. I think a lot would depend on what was to be done with either piece. The gold one would definitely go in a place with a lot of "gold leaf!" Ha! While the silver would go with more neutrals. When I first moved to Houston, everyone had all white rooms...white sofas, white tables, white carpet, etc. Actually, I really liked it. Jack, thanks for dropping-in and your comment!!

Hi. R.G., thanks for the comment. Appreciate it. Really, I did several versions in varying degree of "gold." And, actually other colors. I am not a big fan of "blue" but I did play with a few blue tones on this, as well. I can play with pieces like these for weeks. Ha!

This looks terrific, Bob! I notice that the texture on the horse shows up more, too. I like that. Everything does stand out better. This could make a difference, maybe, depending on how it would be printed and the size printed. Appreciate your processing this piece. Thanks!

Thank so much dannac, for stopping-in and your comment! I am thinking that the silver might have a little edge over the gold, in the opinion department..

"I've never seen a golden horse...." I can understand since the Ministry of Mayhem has been without the treasured "Golden Horses." I will process a shipment immediately to the dark ladies so that they can be in charge of the settlement of these rare creatures. I hope the ladies will, by that time, have tired of the playful brain, they borrowed. They can be in charge of processing the golden ones through the Ministry and get them on all the appropriate programs to provide for their care and housing. And since these horses speak only, Akhal-teke, the ladies will need to hire interpreters that speak their language. And, Ministry of Mayhem should provide a school for golden ones. But, the school must provide classes in Akhal-teke. We would not want them to feel unwelcome or experience discrimination. I have added a photo of one of these golden equines that will soon grace the Ministry of Mayhem. Since there are only 6,000 of these golden, metallic creatures, in the world, the Ministry and dark ladies will hopefully take great care of this rare and unusual gift..

Thanks so much for your comments!!

#1,the silver for me,TheeGambler. It projects an ethereal mood, kind of a dream state. The mane and horse tail with the flow of hair just enhance that mystic feel. Waiting for the Princess of Dyfed, perhaps. A beautiful horse, certainly.

Hi carlysue, this guy was kind of a "dreamy horse." His Arabic name means, "The warrior."

The movement of the hair in manes and tails can be an artistic experience. Sometimes it is very beautiful, especially as seen in a slow-motion video. Ethereal, exotic, dreamy, mystic...is, many times, exactly what I am going for.

"The Princess of Dyfed..." I love it!! Appreciate you stopping-by and commenting.
