Hi,
I found this site by accident. It looks like a community I would like to join.
I've been photographing since 2010 but seriously since 2013. The subject of 99.9 percent
of my photography is people. Mostly my daughter, some myself, some friends and family.
I have my own webpage detailing our adventures year by year. And my own YouTube channel
with over 2300 videos (some short some long).
2010: My first camera (non point and shoot) was (used) Pentax *ist DS. I did not use it that much at that
time (wish I had). I upgraded to the Pentax K20D and then upgraded shortly thereafter to the Pentax K-5IIs,
which is what I use today.
I have quite an assortment of lenses. Unfortunately, the flagship, the legendary FA-77 F1.8 portrait I LOST. I still have
the FA-31 F1.8 though. A good portrait lens but not as magical as the 77. As for other lenses (from memory):
XS40 F2.8 pancake, HD40, 35 F2.4and 50 F1.8 "plastic fantastics", FA-50 F1.4 (excellent portraits), HD21 F3.2,
as well as a few zoom lenses in the F4-5.5 range (18-135 water resistant the better one, and an 80-300 I think, and
another one I forgot).
I generally take 8000 plus photos a year, about 800 I use to make a calendar and yearbook and webpage.
I have a fuji XP80 that I use for video. I also had a Ricoh WG-xx but it sprung a leak the 5th time I used it.

If it takes good pictures and you like it then it is a good camera.

Welcome aboard Mike from a fellow Pentaxian.
Welcome to the group, enjoy!
Thanks for all the replies! It's cool that people are actually near in real life!
I did forget to say: I have a (gifted to me) JVC camcorder (don't know the model it is the one that everybody seems to
have with the pop out screen and hand strap). I don't use it much because it does terrible in low light and the field of
view is not very wide. I also have a Nikon 70S or D70S with the normal kit zoom lens (also gifted to me). I'm planning
to have my daughter start to learn on it (6 years old). It actually takes good pics and the focus is very fast.
