Last week we had a very serious wind strom come through here at 60 mph we took a lot of rain but almost no damage. However seven miles away it wasn't so tame. They had winds up over 95mph and it took a lot of trees down and broke out windows and caused hail danage to some houses. Three days later we visited the site. These are a few of the pictures mostly of the trees.

a few auto crashes but no major injuries. I thought the wind was going to take a tree in front of our house but thank The Lord we dodged a bullet there

We had a lightening strike in an old 40 foot pine 8 feet from my bedroom window. Daughter in a basement bedroom was in our 2nd floor room in 2 seconds. Then we stood and watched out the window as the dry tinder in the branch caught on FIRE! Electricity is out so the hoses won't work. My husband (in sleep stupor) decided to cut the tree down (5 feet around) before our roof caught on fire.

Someone decided to make it rain heavily just then so we didn't have to watch the sad attempt to save the house.

And I certainly hope that you gave praise to the Lord for the sudden rain! He does wonders that a lot of people do not seem to understand or connect at the time. I am so glad that no one was hurt.
Keep that saw sharp you never know!

Nice photos. Glad no one was seriously hurt or worse. I have seen some weird things happen from mothe nature like these stories shared here and it truly is amazing.

Thank you Photo Guy.

Nice to get your comments. As I said the pic I sent were mostly of the trees and we were a few days late in getting to the scene. There for awhile you could not even get into the area.
