I plan to trade in a Nikon D5300 (~5000 releases) a D7200 (42000 releases) and a Nikkor 18-200mm f3.5lens. What is a reasonable price range I might expect from a dealer?

Approx 1/2 of what they're worth, maybe a little more.
A price that leaves the dealer a profit margin on the two camera's and lens. I'd look it up on eBay in the "sold" listings and allow about half of what they are selling for.
Looks like the BODY ONLY D5300 is selling about $350. Looks like the lens sells from $250-300 (VRII). Total list price average $600-650. Now there are a ton of these on eBay and that's the average, you might expect to get.
Now, cut that in half to leave a profit margin for the dealer. Trade in value $350-400 optimistically. That's just the D5300.
Now average list on the D7200 (high count). Selling average $750. Go to one half for trade value$375.
Now find a seller who wants the kit, both camera's and lens.
So retail for it all if you sell it used yourself.... $1400. Trade value to a camera store ... Approx $725 for it all.

I always find clean used equipment from an individual sellers is about 35% - 40% off retail. In your case it's a camera staore so you must leave some fat on for the store to turn a profit. 50% of retail might be optimistic for a camera store transaction ;)
Check what you can sell them for in E-bay.

Go to KEH (KEH.com) and use their automatic quote system. They're fair and you don't have to go through with the sale to them if you feel the offer is low. Also B&H and Adorama will make reasonable offers on used Nikon equipment.
Do a search on ebay. Then go down the left column and check the box for "Sold items." That will show you what people have actually paid for them. A dealer has to put time and effort, and possibly repair, into what he accepts. Then he has to hope it sells, so he will give you less.

You will do a lot better selling them yourself. Price them at dealers and ebay and go from there.
Selling yourself is always better, but places like Adorama and KEH pay upto 70% in perfect/like new condition and deduct from there.

half of what they're worth? or half of what they cost????
since they are all fairly recent models, you'd be better off selling them yourself...post them here on this site...it's free afterall. Otherwise try a site like Fred Miranda.

15% more than half, what you would get for the stuff, if you took the time to sell it privately!
If you should EVER really DECIDE TO SELL IT ALL TO A DEALER....PLEASE... do a photographer a big favor...
and just put a note up on here for a day offering it all to one of us for the same price!!! Rob.
You should put an ad in the UHH Classified and sell it there for around the EBay price. Don't sell to the dealer!
That'd be crazy! If you're gonna do that, sell it on here! Instead!

Bottom line; if you sell it here; you will get more for it. The buyer will get it for less money (and there are plenty here who could use the help financially as much as possible) and you are doing your friends here and yourself a favor. Why not support those you converse with, get help from and help sometimes too and in the process it's a win win for everyone. What better business deal could there be. The only time one wouldn't want to sell the the stuff here is if there is something wrong with it because I would hate to think that anyone on this site would want to intentionally take another UHHer. We are here to help each other and spread the interest and knowledge in photography, are we not?
