I am not sure that this is suitable for the photography section, but both issues are relvant to my workflow.
I recently updated to Windows 10. I discovered last night that my PC and canon Pro-100 are not communicating via Bluetooth. That is, I cannot get images printed either from Lightroom or PS. When I transfer the image to my laptop and plug the laptop into the printer via USB cable, everything is fine.
Secondly, when I try to calibrate my NEC P221W monitor via Spectraview, the Spectraview panel say that no supported monitors are recognized.
At this point I am confounded.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Update your drivers to the ones for windows 10.
Thanks, but which drivers? computer, printer, monitor, Spectraview?

All of them, if there is a Win 10 driver you should be using it.
I don't know the brand of your computer but most of the brands have a driver update app on their support site. It may not have the driver but will tell you to get it from the company that made the device.
Right, but my computer was made by a local firm several years ago. Worked fine until I installed Win 10. But I still don't know which drivers to update. Graphics card? Is there a special Blue-tooth driver? Still confused. But thanks for your response.

The card and blue tooth are a good place to start, get the brand and model number of each device (a free app called Speccy will do it and help with stuff like temps etc), go to the brand's site and then under downloads or whatever they label it check to see if they have Win 10 drivers, if so follow their directions for downloading and installing.
If you find they are so old they no longer update drivers (I have some of those laying around) then it may be time for an upgrade or even a new computer. On the other hand you can revert to the old OS.

I'd start with a visit to the Canon site to see if there is an update to the software that provides the wireless connection to the printer. I'm betting there is and it should specify Win 10 compatibility. Usually, if drivers are required, these installations provide them.
Then, I'd do the same for the Spectraview site.
Good luck. Win 10 is a good OS.
This subject brought back fresh memories of my project a few weeks ago of setting up my Canon G16's wifi to my Win 10 computer and wifi set up here in my home which I have 3 computers and printer set up. Got it working after about an hour of fiddling with this and that. But, it was much slower than just pulling the card out of the camera and inserting it into the SD slot on the computer and processing from there. Course I just shoot RAW in my cameras. Only jpegs are from my phone.
Did you turn Bluetooth on in the device settings of win 10 ?
Just curious...do you really mean "bluetooth" or are you referring to "wi-fi." They are two very different connectivity solutions. To the best of my knowledge, the Pro-100 printer (I have one) does not support bluetooth. It does support wi-fi and AirPrint (an Apple technology that uses wi-fi). You might want to check that your PC (desktop?) has wi-fi turned on as your network connection. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

No I think it's the installation process. I'm an experienced computer user and I still had to phone Canon and have them walk me through the process. I had conflicting drivers. However I decided it was better to hardwire it and not use the Wi-Fi.
Hardwire sounds like a good plan...glad you got it working!

"campy" or "cool".
Remember one thing however... Nothing is as fast on connections for devices as hard wired. Whatever the solution, wire carries signals faster than any "over the air" solution. Just because you built your house wrong, does not make wireless the fastest way to transmit data. Walls and electrical panels, plus brick and mortar get in the way.
Wire everything.
25 years of computer teching here. Worst thing we ever did was invent wireless and bluetooth, not to mention microwave and cell towers.

38 yrs as an Electrical Engineer. Without the technical innovation that went into those inventions you panned we would still be shooting only film. Also, you probably would not have this forum to make such a silly statement. Looking for a phone booth to make a call out of the home was always a lot of fun, certainly more practical than the ubiquitous cell phone system we have today.
