Yes we had about 110 sharks swimming around us , what a thrill.. took over 400 photos plus some video.. I am heading to Cape Fear in July for Megladon Shark teeth and 3 different wrecks off the coast , i have been going for the past two years and its a great dive about 80 to 110 depth. Some neat civil war wrecks and ww2 wrecks .

The sharks are great as well as the others. I saw a star fish like that at the turks. They almost don't look real, do they?

Every starfish I photograph have different markings which is amazing almost like a fingerprint . This one was at 10 ft deep and the bright sun and clear Bahamas water made a great photo, along with a strobe light .When you snorkel or dive you can always find starfish as they make like a railroad track mark in the sand as they move..mainly on a clear sandy bottom ..just follow the tracks.

Welcome to the Forum! And, thanks for sharing your exciting pictures. Post as many as you'd like - we all really enjoy sharing our underwater adventures.

I particularly liked the starfish! The dappling of the sun was fantastic. :-)
Thanks.

The sola 1200 is awesome, I also have a solar charger to keep the battery's up, but so far have not needed to use it. Let me know what case you have for for D-7000, I use my 7000 for land and a epl-1 and 8010 Olympus for my UW shots. Going to Caymens and Costa maya to dive next month.

Hi, I hope to be going to the Bahamas soon because I love my grandchild but I really need to get to the ocean for a short trip anyway and that, other than Fla., is closer than any other islands. I haven't heard a lot about snorkeling or diving in the Bahamas. If you have some advice on good places please let me know.

Thanks, Susan

Just landed in The Maldives, shooting wide angle, so have not used the Sola 1200 yet. Will get onboard Maldive Princess next week and will shoot video of macro subjects with SOLA 1200. I use an Ikelilte housing because it's inexpensive and I change cameras every 2 years. If you like mantas we had a fantastic shoot in a cleaning station.
