He spooks really easily, and even though I keep refilling that #^& feeder for him, he hasn't quite gotten the idea that I'm his friend.
Good things are worth waiting for. Great job!
I was beginning to feel like the woodpecker stalker!
Great shot.....well worth the effort.

Ummmmm...I believe he is a she...I think. Maybe not...I thought this was a flicker at first but I guess it's a yellow belly woodpecker?
Nice job. And this is a female Red-bellied Woodpecker, I think.
Nice shot ! Patience always pays off...sometimes !
It is a female Red-Bellied Woodpecker the red goes all the way to the to of the head on a male.
Great-and the red on the belly shows.
Actually, it's a male. You just can't see the markings well from this angle.

Nice shot! My youngest son got me a small hunting blind for Christmas this year. It is just a small tent. I am using the heck out of it by the feeders. I can sit in it and get as close as 10 feet. And the best part, there is room for a small side table to hold my coffee and snacks. :) Sammy even comes in with me some times.

VERY cool, Erv! Unfortunately, my three furbabies seem to feel that every bird in the yard is a clear danger to their mommy and they are honor bound to chase them away!
Worth the wait and the seed.
Is this Woody Woodpecker ? LOL, LOL, nice picture, very sharp.
