HDR using freeware: fusion or luminance

Hi there,
My pocketbook is not as large as I would desire but with freeware I can make the most of what I have. My problem now is to figure out which HDR program is the best out of the free ones available. I don't see many good tutorials out there but maybe I missed some. Could any of you share your ideas or experiences?
