Late Autumn.
A few moments for quiet reflection.

I have nothing to say except, wish I had taken that! I really like this!

I could see where some would want Annie more in silhouette. Either to go brighter or darker. I could see darker but I like it as it is and even in B&W.

Disclaimer: decent amateur (self-titled). Know what I like and what I'd do.

I really like B/W photos, and this one grabs my eye.

Brings peace & tranquility over me just by seeing it. Exceptional. Love it in B&W. Nice work.

I really like it too. I wonder if it might improve with cropping out some of the sky...to the top of the tree on the right. That would set the horizon about at the thirds line.

Thanks for the comments. This crop keeps the clouds about the same in the water as in the sky. But to my mind it detracts from the sense of quiet space and solitude I was trying to convey.
Arithmetic, I feel, is not something to be adhered to slavishly because of right or wrong answers. Rather impressions which aren't dictated by rules at all.
Thanks again, and I'm glad you liked it and felt like putting your thoughts forward.

I agree with your sentiment but in this case the crop feels better to me. To me it feels more expansive thereby amplifying your theme. Different strokes for different folks.

Thank you so much for your comments.
Constructive criticism is to be studied carefully but you make me feel as though I was successful this time.
Regards,
Mike

Like most things in life, we all have the same & sometimes different opinions & that's the way it should be. I personally like the original pic. I also feel the tighter crop takes away from the serenity the photo gives to me. No waves, just my opinion. Thanks for sharing.

I like the first version the best. I feel more isolation and solitude in it. Good picture
