I'll put a link in a second article (to avoid the bot that moves things to a different section).
SenScore's overall rating is the top score of any DSLR, at 1170. That probably is not at all surprising. In order the top ten are the D5, Nikon's D4s, D4, and Df, then Sony with the A7RII, A7SII and A7S, Nikon D810 and D800E and at number 10, the Canon 1DXII.
They provide a comment that is astounding:
"However, the moderate improvements are somewhat disappointing
for a new generation flagship camera. Obviously, a camera is
much more than just sensor performance, but the fact that this
is the best sensor Nikon can offer 4 years after the launch of
the D4 is worrying all the same.
That actually tells us more about SenScore than about the Nikon D5. They just don't seem to realize that current sensor technology, at least for CMOS or CCD with a Bayer Encoded Filter Array, is fairly mature for the 24x36mm size. It is nearly at the theoretical maximum for high ISO dynamic range and SNR. The days of a new camera being 1 full stop better than the last are over.
Interesting website.
Thank you for the link.
Apaflo the news you have decided to share here has changed me forever. My perception of the free world was obviously wrong and has been for many years.
What can I say except thank you. My only criticism and its a personal issue is I wish you had not printed and referred to SenScore's view of sensor progress which although astounding I fear will be the reason my sleep is punctuated by panic attacks and hot sweats for weeks to come.
I was silly enough to read the paragraph to my dog Bonehead and he is now a wide eyed quivering wreck who point blank refuses to leave his kennel. The womens singles final is on TV later and not even that news will make him leave the security of the building we call Chez Mutt.

you can say the point you were trying to make.
Although a bit rambly, I got the sense that you were poking fun at the type of info that apflo was posting, and trying to educate your canine on its contents.
if so..wtf..say it aint so
This is a forum with some people having great depth of knowledge and experience in photography.
if you want a ladies tennis forum, you came to the wrong place.

Oh poo I am sorry. The guy at the door dressed in a tutu and wellington boots with a pekingese in his backpack said take your racquet and just go right in and ask for zigipha and you would show me where to change. He did ask me not to look surprised if you changed with me as you often wear ladies underwear swearing that it's more comfortable than Y fronts? Not a problem to me bro, whatever floats ya boat.
And a ladies tennis club should suit you cos you do not appear to post any pictures so one can assume you aint a photographer or perhaps you just like talking about it and not actually doing it?

I don't understand.
While I can't be sure, I believe he's saying "who cares". A great camera is a great camera, but it only a tool and the quality of the results is due to many factors, other than just the sensor, most importantly the eye and brain behind the viewfinder. While I enjoy reading about technology enhancements, improving my understanding of the art and technique of photography is far more important to me and will improve my images more than any sensor can. So I'm guessing he's implying that there is sometimes too much emphasis on technological improvement over technique. Although... I could be whistling out of my butt.

Ya butt is whistling a pretty good tune my friend!
To be fair though, pretty much all cameras today, including the D4s and D5, have some ISO shift to the right that makes them, look better than they ought to compared to the Ideal FX line, leaving a bit more room for improvement than the chart suggests, right? Still, it's amazing how close today's sensors are to the ideal.

If he doesn't care just say so as I don't care for a lot of things and I said so. So still I don't understand what he meant.
