with a Nikon D750, 24-120mm lens @70 mm, F8, ISO2000, 1/250

I am with my kids on vacation and visiting a zoo park. One of the main attractions this is year are the 1 year old tiger cubs. Last year we barely saw them. This year they were in their shine hours. Unfortunately for me, who was looking forward to some good shots of them, they did not wanted to get out of their "house". So here I was, standing in front of a dirty glass, with a crowd of desperate people flashing their mobiles, and other cameras trying to make the best of it. It was a little dark so I was forced to use high ISO. The dirty glass and the flashing did not make it easy at all. So I boosted up my ISO to about 2000 and was lucky to get a shot when this guy was showing his "grills". Having in mind the dirty glass and the flashing, my original pictures was very hazy. At the hotel I had had to give it a little boost, and this was my result on the run. Looking forward to get back home in two weeks to go over through the other pictures from this trip. Until then , enjoy this cub.

Very nice image!!!!
I hate the glass enclosures . They redid our Polar Bear area a while back, while you can get a good view of the Bear underwater it makes getting a good image very difficult.

Catalin, I think you did a great job with the conditions you were shooting under. I love the shot. With the dark background all around the tiger, it looks kind of other worldly. Cheers.

Thanks for managing this shot under difficult circumstances. He may be only a cub, but I'm not playing with him.

Digital photography has come a long way , and for us who did not have this photography hobby back in the old days were digital was more of a circuit board, we have to be grateful for LR and all other software helping us out. As for zoo parks , that has to be most challenging. The challenges are our self in the crowd of the desperate desire of wanting a picture. My learning show that PP is a must in many conditions, and thankful for my learning curve with this.

Thank you
I must admit , the indoor house had more visible details showing were they are. Boosting the exposure overall would show more of that, but for me that is like shooting a picture of a wild animal behind bars. and can be seen. This set up and PP gave me the change to change that.
Cheers !

Fun fact was that this guy is one year old and was already the same size and weight as our late St. Bernard (who was a unlikely big St. Bernard (107Kg) and massive in size). The only difference was the mighty fangs to say. He was showing them proudly, as this is his new adult jaw with crushing power. He was cute, and still childish in his behavior, but I would not want to put my hand inside his mouth like I was doing with my beloved St. Bernard. I would loose a finger every time we'd play :)
