I took these shots just after a recent flood in our area.
Do you mind not watching please?
Oh! OK, I'll preen too.

Excellent shots john.
Thanks Jim. The cropping in the first is way off but that's I had. Really didn't notice the little fellow there when I took the shot. LoL.

Little and large! Very good captures, love your captions.
Nice shots! It's hard to imagine how pelicans can preen with those bills.
Thanks Earl. They certainly are. I love to watch them soar on the air currents. My wife says Pelicans are the only birds that fly just because they can.

Yes it is and they do tend to look a little awkward doing it too. Thanks for looking and commenting.

Thank you Greg, I'm glad you liked them. Thanmk tyou for stopping by to look and comment, much appreciated.
Two good ones. The little guy makes a good supporting character, without stealing attention from the star. I always love finding something in the frame after I take the shot, if it works like here.

Fun to compare the sizes!
Looks SO coy, and the little guy does seem to be mimicking the pellie. Fun capture,Infocus, and certainly well done!
