Nikon D500 golf shots

For these shots I experimented using a 70-200 lens with a 2x convertor. The 2.8 became 5.6 but in daylight it was not an issue. I'm really liking this camera after one month. At 10 fps and a buffer of 200 it makes it difficult not to get the shot. While I still use my full frame D750 for many shots, this DX is pretty sweet. Learned a lot shooting these kids on the course.

Great golf shots. You got the best out of the D500 and 70-200mm/f2.8 lens with 2.0X teleconverter. I think most photographers use a 1.4X TC because they say it shows less degradation. Your 2.0X shows no degradation that I can see. The TC and that lens paired very well. Also the women had better looking swings than the men. IMO.

Nice golf shots, and glad you like the D500. I had just purchased the D7200 a couple months prior to the announcement of the D500. I am still happy with the D7200, and glad I upgraded from my D7000. Still have and use both, one with a wide to short tele zoom, and the other with longer tele zoom. Now I do not have to change lenses, just cameras.
Best of luck with the D500, from the reviews it sounds like a great camera.
Keep showing results.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks. Using this lens and TC, the increase in length and weight required me to use a monopod to keep steady. (The women always look better than the men) :)

Thanks Duane, besides sports I experimented with portrait work and was really pleased with the results. Maybe I'll show those in a later post. Also the touch screen has some great features. Zooming in like you do on an iPad. Another great feature is in playback. The image on the back will show you exactly where your focus point was when the shutter released. A very nice feature to improve focus accuracy. I still have a lot to learn but truly enjoying the learning curve of this camera.
