Has anyone used 42 ST photo before. I am going to step out and buy a canon 70D and want the best price I can get. I will probably just buy a body for now. I have some lenses for my T5i and plan on using them for now.

Type in 42 sr photo in this search engine and get ready for a barrage
Many previous topics on this company. Use search option at top of page. Most people warn to stay away, stay VERY far away.
My personal experience is I bought a Canon T3i with U.S. warranty (at a "good" price), but fell for the added package of goodies, which turned out to be worthless, including a tripod that wouldn't hold your cell phone sturdily. Pushy, push salesman, rude customer service.
Stay away from 42 St. My suggestion is to try Greentoe. Many hoggers have tried it and they were completely satisfied.

If you want to step out, I would step waaaaaaay out from 42nd St. They used to all right, years ago but lately not so good. Terrible customer service, they take things out of the box and sell them separate and don't honor warranties without a hassle. That's all I can think of off the top of my pointy little head. Adorama, B&H, Cameta Camera and Amazon are pretty good, best in the business. Cameta Camera has a one year warranty that they honor w/o any question.
B&H, Adorama, Amazon offer fair prices and real customer service. They may not be the lowest price, but you really do get what you pay for.

Hey, Bushy, you can come out of the closet any time you wish to! I would not do so anywhere near 42nd Street photo. On the other hand if you can afford and find a reputable deal on an 80D that would would do you even better!
As others have implied, you don't always get what you pay for, but you don't get what you don't pay for in most circumstances. Avoid 42nd!
Maybe a refurb on Loyalty Program from Canon.

If it sounds to good to be true, THEN IT IS. Sure, the prices sound great, everyone wants something for less don't they. That's their hook, and once your hooked, you will be reeled into their web of half truths and special deals. The best prices come from B&H and many others. If you find a better price their is a reason for it,and that reason is usually BAD. STAY AWAY, STAY VERY FAR AWAY. This is your ONLY warning.

Bushy, you shouldn't have any problems with them if you are purchasing a Canon 70D.

Get a refurb. It will be a good camera at a good price with a good warranty and no hassle. Never shop by price for cameras. Manufacturers set the prices, so very low prices are not a good sign. 42nd St is not a reliable seller.

Don't!! Not an honest or reliable internet store.

I love my 70D. Stick with a trusted dealer...B & H are great to deal with, as are others, Adorama, Cameta, KEH...
70D body only runs $999, new. Make your decision and Start Shooting and Learning your 70D...Good Luck..

Bushy, I have no affiliation with nor do I care about 42 st photo one way or the other, but the point I was trying to make with my first message posted to you was that you shouldn't have any problem with them when purchasing a Canon 70D or any other product that has a cost less than $1000. I have purchased several items from them that were not costly to begin with, but when it comes to expensive items, I have always done my business with B&H and several times with Adorama. If it makes you feel better, buy your 70D from one of them because both are very reputable dealers. Obviously, others have had their share of problems with 42nd st, but I never did when I was purchasing low dollar items from them that were low dollar items to begin with. As an example, I would have no problem purchasing a mid priced Manfrotto tripod or any other tripod of the like from 42nd St, Yet; if I were to purchase another Nikon 810D camera body or Nikkor lens, I would purchase either or both from B&H. Then, again, like others have said, if your mind is set on having a Canon 70D, you might want to check into a refurbished camera that had been refurbished by Canon because once Canon refurbishes one of their cameras, it is just like new or, sometimes, I think even better than new !
