I am envious! Great shots, enjoyed them all.
The question was asked about how many polar bears did we see. We saw four in three sightings. The first was a male following a female, Second was a male eating a seal he had caught, and the third was a female who came up to the ship we were in because she smelled the food from the galley. We had gone as far into the ice pack as the captain wanted to go and so we waited for her to come to us. She roamed around the ship for about 45 minutes.
I never heard of Svalbard, Norway until your post. Some time ago a friend and wife visited Oslo, Norway. He said it was expensive for tourists there. But enjoyed it, as I am sure you did. Nice photo shots. That far north has virtually all daylight hours I have been told?
Since it was summer while we were there, May 24-June 6, it was daylight 24 hours a day. Incredible for shooting.

Wonderful series, Ron (?) I'd like to know what the animal is in image #4.
The animal in the fourth shot is an Artic Fox. They are pure white in the winter and brown in the summer. This one was in mid-transition from winter to summer- thus the two colors.

Thanks for sharing.
While it was certainly cold it was very manageable with proper clothing.
