Tripod weighs, on my bathroom scale, 4.6 lbs
Length, without center column extended, is 64" including mounting base for head.
Collapsed length, including top mounting base for head (not included), is 23 1/4"

I'm not sure...I don't see anything on the paperwork that says that...it just says :

It states "Carbon Fiber 6X, Gitzo GT 3541L ON the tripod itself.
The little Gitzo book that came with it is what stated Mountaineer Basalt Tripods

I bought this from B&H Photo in 2012. It IS a Series 3, Carbon Fiber 6X 4 section tripod Long.
Replaced by GT 3542L mountaineer series 3 Long.
