Some of you ask to see more photos, so here you go. I thought I would show you more of the inside of the train cars. Some of these cars have not been restored yet. I'm sure its because the lack of funding. Hope you enjoy.
Union Pacific #8003 Dome Diner - Built in 1955 by American Car & Foundry for use on the City of Los Angeles streamliner. The U.P. was the only road to have dome dining cars.

Lake Superior & Ishpeming #24 - 2 - 8 - 0 Consolidation type.Built in 1910 for the Marquette & Southeastern Railroad.
Union Pacific, Big Boy was a freight hauling tool that conquered the Wyoming and Utah mountains during the 1940s and 50s. Weighing in at over 600 tons.

I'd sure hate to have to work with all those controls in the engine cab. I counted 42 that are painted red and I suspect I missed many more.

Wow - great photos and very interesting! Quite a few years ago we went on the "wine train" in California. It features restored cars - lots of brass and mahogany. Really neat. Those were the days!
