This was the write-up about Amelia Earhart:
This last photo of Amelia Earheart was taken as she packed for her last flight, an attempt to circumnavigate the globe in 1937. Earhart and her plane disappeared over the Pacific Ocean and her body was never found.
I noticed they said that Earheart and her plane disappeared over the Pacific Ocean but failed to mention that Fred Noonan also disappeared. They mentioned the plane but not the navigator. I guess there was a reason for that. Maybe they just wanted to make this about Earheart but then why mention the plane? Everybody knows the plane disappeared.

And when they mention the first successful ascent of Mt. Everest, how often do they mention Tenzing Norgay?

It was always announced as "Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tensing", to my recollection.
I did not know Tensing Norgay's correct name til much later, though.
What a line up. And some died so very young.

Hopefully his descent was also successful.
