Think I'd forget the right hand guy and crop for the left hand fellow. One on right is in too much shadow but left hand man is a great silhouette and the machinery puts him nicely in context. A very nice catch CM.

This is a really nice country scene. One I've seen and been a part of a lot, so I appreciate it. If one misses the download, s/he has missed the entire image! There's a lot of detail there that makes it much nicer. Excellent range of tones.

Did you try one shooting over the grasses in the foreground? Somehow it distracts me. I tried cropping it out, but I didn't like the format as well. I do like the cow. Wish she were all there.

Thank you for your comments. There was no way to get any higher to shoot over the grass. The grass is one of the reasons that this is cropped as it is. I was trying to minimize the amount of grass. It was a few minute break and I didn't have a lot of time to play around. I wish I had gotten all of the team on the right. This rig is being pulled by a team of shorthorn steers.

I looked again and I do have one that has all of the oxen in it. I don't like the silhouetted man as well.
I have posted it here for comparison.

I do see what you mean. And his silhouette is sort of what draws one into the scene. I do really like the oxen though.

CM, there is a somewhat haphazard way of raising the veiwpoint that I use occasionally- takes a bit of practice but is fun. I put the camera on a monopod, set a two second shutter delay, pre focus, press the shutter and raise the whole lot to the desired height. Takes a bit of practice and the save rate is low but I have achieved shots I couldn't otherwise have got.

Thank you for the suggestion. I don't own a monopod, but could probably do something similar with my tripod.

If you had stepped to the right, the light would have been better and two people would have been visible instead of one. The tree would have been between people.
