ok, trying this again. Hopefully the pic is attached this time.
Without air pollution from NYC and NJ, Long Island would not have such beautiful sunsets. And, this is a beautiful sunset.
The colors are extraordinary.

Thank you, Bill. I've been having a lot of trouble with my vision lately, so focus has been an issue for me. However, on this particular evening, I had to try.

Yeah....no stop and go traffic on the LIE. Those Lung Islanders produce enough pollution all by themselves.

Loc: Quiet Corner, Connecticut. Ex long Islander
L.I.E. Not even close to the worst traffic in the NYC area. Cross Bronx at rush hour. 5 miles from the Bruckner to the GW. Often takes over 1 hour. The BQE is no bargain either.. BTW where on the Island was this sunset taken? A very pretty pic.
Beautiful image, Elcon! The sky's on fire!
The picture was taken at Crab Meadow beach in Northport

Everything you say is true. You can not tell me the LIE is not a parking lot. Check it out this Friday, this weekend. Any Friday this summer. The picture is very nice. I responded to post about other areas that contribute to pollution which "aids" in the vitality of the sunset.
