Found new feature on my nikon D750

During the process of preparing my D750 to go go back for shutter recall I realized in the setup a feature to save all my personal user settings to the sd card and when the camera returns I can pull my settings back into camera from the sd card. I would guess most with a D750 have read their manual and already new that, I am one of those people that stumble through manuals. When I stumble onto things like this I seem to retain them longer than when reading.

You didn't find the feature; it was never lost. You just discovered it.

I sent mine in on the service advisory, they will give you a list of everything they check, and, they will clean the sensor. NICE. On mine they did not replace anything, just checked it out. Good luck.

It's nice when you find a new feature on something you've been using for a while.

I could not find a problem with mine, but figured I should take advantage of the recall rather than to find problem later. And this way they do any updates that are available.

Me too. No problems with mine, but will send in anyway for the sensor cleaning and firmware update because, for some reason, I couldn't go the update from my computer.

I keep my Nikon settings on an old small-capacity card, since reformatting a card deletes those settings.

That's half the fun of a camera. Finding new things (often stumbling upon them) and continuing to grow in the knowledge of your camera itself and of photography, in general.
