Not a very bright morning but we went out to blow the cobwebs away. Then headed back home along our route A66.

I put the Heron shot into the bin twice It was a long way away looking down and the tide was out, but I quite liked the the pebbles and the sand bank so I rescued it.

The buildings in the background of the sheep and lamb are Sellafield Nuclear Power Station.

The six spotted Burnet moth was very small hanging onto the flower in the strong wind.

Please try the downloads.

I think the moth was a new one, it was ever so tiny got down on the floor for the shot!

Sylvia, excellent series. I enjoy looking at the country side of all the different places that the world offers up. So many people, myself included, think of countries in a different view. My first thoughts of England, for example, is a crowded place with little or no open spaces. The reality is 100% different. This is what I see in many of the photos that we end up being able to view on this web site and I thank you along with all the other HOGs for showing us the real world that is out there.

It is a pleasure to share with friends Greg, we are only a small island 874 miles long, but yes we do have plenty of open spaces once you leave the towns and cities. So pleased you enjoyed the set and appreciate your comments very much....thank you.
