I also have an E data drive, F Photo drive and keep my OS separate from data. I'm sorry you seem to be having all these issues with Windows and Microsoft. I hope you sort it out. I meant no harm with my response - just trying to assist.

Sorry - I wasn't trying to bite your head off! It's just that I have had this same discussion many times since MS started offering their 'free upgrade. When I hear something along the lines of "windows 10 will fix it...", I can sometimes respond a little too strongly! I *do* have some major issues with the way MS is driving the market, but that's no excuse for going off ballistic.

I do appreciate everyone who made serious suggestions, really!

So, if you have a data drive, are your libraries on there? How come the upgrade worked for you, with presumably the 'pictures' library on F, and the others on E? That was the only pointer I was able to find which explained my system's failure to complete the process...

Thanks for the response and the "sorry". Not necessary, but appreciated. I understand it is your frustration speaking.
I do not use the 'Libraries" of Windows. I set up my own folders on my E and F drives. Before my PC burned as a result of a surge during Sandy, I had my PC rebulit - new MB, RAM, GPU and Processor. Prior to that I did drag "My Pictures" from C to E. When I began again with the up[graded PC, I decided not to use Windows Libraries.

I agree with your and other's sentiments about MS Win 10 marketing. On the other hand, I do applaud the Win 10 OS. I love it.
Best of luck to you.
