Help on fixing perspective

Hi all you photography nuts who are way more talented than me!

I've been trying to fix the perspective on this photo but not having much luck. If there's someone out there who can handle post processing better than me, I'd very much appreciate your help.

Sorry, didn't wait long enough for the photo to load. Hope someone can help me fix the perspective (straighten) this image.

Thanks

Straighten, as in the horizontal? Like this?

I'm not sure it makes that much difference. Or I completely misunderstood what you want.

The stairs are not parallel to the film plane.

You see how the steps are a bit skewed to the left. I was trying to straighten the photo so it looks more like I had shot it straight on.

I can't pretend that I know what that means.

I'm not sure I know what that means. Can you help me understand - and is it possible to do what I want?

The stairs are on an angle. The left side is farther from the camera than the right side.
I tried rotating and playing with the perspective, but it doesn't seem to come out right.
Maybe someone else might have better luck. I've done buildings, but this appears to react differently.
Sorry.

Okay, I tried again, this time using DxO Perspective...note that doing so forces a crop of the foot on the child on the left...

Yes, that happens when changing perspective or leveling, cropped by default.
I'd say your DxO did a decent job.

Oh that's great. If I can find the original uncropped, could I send it again and ask you to do the same action? Not tonight though because I drank too much wine!
