Most nights we have up to 6 hedgehogs and 4 foxes feeding together in the same spot. There are 2 adult foxes and 2 small cubs, they are quite happy to share the food that we put out for the hedgehogs. The 2 fox cubs are starting to get used to me talking to them and are now not too bothered about the flash firing on the camera. Main problem is manually focusing on them in the very limited light that I have to get well focused shots. But getting there slowly.

I love that you have a safe haven for all God's critters,Wonky. Foxes, hedgehogs, badgers, all seem to gather at your inn. Good to see, heartwarming to know!

Thank you Carlysue. I'm not quite so generous to fleas, ticks and mosquitos though. And some humans either.

Thank you S_O, finally got the measure of manually focusing in the dark.

Andy, it is interesting that the foxes do 't try to use the hedgehogs as meals. Here in the states, I would not expect a fox and a groundhog (woodchuck) to co-exist and be so friendly.

Hi Bud thank you for your comments. I think because there is ample food the foxes are not hungry enough to need them as a food source, also the young cubs on their early encounters with the hedgehogs getting their noses stabbed by the spines on them puts them off somewhat.

Wow, I am impressed; I have trouble manually focusing in the light!
