I will be visiting the Eastern suburbs of Cleveland in in late August for a couple of days. Because I am partially disabled, paved paths are a necessity. Any recommendation for good shooting locations would be appreciated.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame if you are a music lover.

Downtown Cleveland that includes a Civil War Memorial, Browns Stadium, Quickens Loans Arena, Indians Baseball Stadium, and many venues along the Lake Erie shoreline. The West Side is interesting to see too. I would suggest taking a tour bus like it did. Or rent a cheap car. Cleveland will be recovered from the Republican Convention by the time you get there. Food is good too and not expensive. And don't forget the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. As mentioned. Enjoy your trip.

Mike, it's not all that hard to get shot in Cleveland... (Sorry, I was born there and couldn't resist ). Actually, you might find interesting street photography material around Shaker Square and pleasing landscapes among the gently rolling hills of the east side, e.g., Pepper Pike, Mayfield, etc. Plan on occasional short periods of rain.

I would start with the mayors office and work down from there. Oh! Not THAT kind of shooting location...

Thanks for the suggestions RJay. I grew up in Cleveland also but left it about 55 years ago.

If you want landscape/nature photos, you can't miss with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park or the Metro Parks system. Plenty of places to go with good paved paths.

The Cleveland Metro Park System is very extensive and accessible, and just beautiful. You can drive it with many pull offs and some easy walk ways. Get a map of it.

I was born, and live in, California, but I was rooting for Cleveland in NBA finals as they deserved to win something, anything. So, you can shoot the remnants of the Victory Parade. P.S. my parents got together in Ohio although both were from Texas.

I live in Cleveland, Tennessee but from the other responses I gather you mean the one in Ohio.

If you mean my way, the Cherokee National Forest in the Southern part of the Appalachian Mountains.

The Ocoee River offers rafting g and kayaking. Back in 1996, that was were they held the wHite water events for the summer Olympics.

Lots of other nature things too. It a forest around there so you'd expect that.

In town there is the Greenway. That is several miles of walk, jog, bike ride, community events, etc.

There are a couple collages. Old and new buildings.

Red Clay State Park where the Cherokee's had many meetings. It also holds some civil war and Pow Wow events.

Lots more also.

Cleveland has many good locations, but Revet has a good suggestion. Of course, there is also the Amish area. It's been a few years since I lived there.I hate snow and swore I would never again . . . I got to Akron just after the Cuyahoga River caught fire.

Yes, I meant Cleveland Ohio although maybe I should be visiting Cleveland Tennessee instead?
