Does anyone have any hints on composition of these old bridges?

We have some killer old bridges around and i am clueless of how to compose.

any examples would be appreciated.

I love this old covered bridge. It was first built in 1872. It's called the Sandy Creek Covered Bridge and it's located in Hillsboro, MO. It's a great place to go chill out and read or just to think about things. To me it represents a great part of our history- the transportation revolution. This picture is one of my favorites. I think I missed the best color of the leaves by just a few days- I'm definitely not going to miss it again this year....

I worked really hard trying to frame the bridge with the trees just right while trying to keep the fence, path and sky balanced. I think the composition is what I did best. I missed the best color of the leaves and could have picked a better time of day- later in the day- to get better light. Lucky for me the bridge isn't going anywhere, so I can always go back. Next time with a better plan!

BEAUTIFUL!! Would love to see this with a little HDR to bring out the sky and then to lighten up the inside of the bridge to bring out its details!!

I often thought of doing that here and there, but I would want a constant perspective. On my own property, I could install a permanent wooden tripod of some kind and go back to it periodically. Of course, if I did that, I'd have to dig a 3' hole for a foundation - below the frost line - so the post didn't move as the weather changes.

Unfortunately, I don't think they'd let me dig a post hole there! I think you should do that, Jerry....
