My new computer has lots of memory, but I'm limited to 3GB for PSE 10. I know a few folks on here have the inside track with adobe programmers, so, does anyone know if Elements 11 will have 64 bit addressing?

I have no idea. Your guess is as good as mine on that one. What is wrong with getting the current program (PSE10)? Is there something you don't like about it - there will always be a newer one coming out in the future - but we don't know when, so why not enjoy what we have presently? If nothing else, download the trial program version of PSE10, that should give you an idea as to the value of the program. I've never heard of anyone hating the trial version. The idea is to try it before you buy it.

Hi Jaw,

I'm very happy with PSE10, it works great. Sometime this year I will be getting a Nikon D800 and with the bigger file size I thought a 64 bit Elements might help in handling the larger files.

Sorry Ken, I thought you were asking about version 11 before trying out version 10. My mistake. Glad you enjoy your version 10. Have you found any problems within version 10? Some folks have found a couple of minor problems within version 10 but I guess there will always be something that was left out or changed from one version of Elements to another. I understand nothing is perfect in life.
Do you have other versions of Elements (V6,V7,V8, or V9), you can have more than one version on your computer than the current version. I have only one (V6 for Mac). I want to learn a lot more about my version before I even think about tackling another newer version.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi Jaw,

I used to run CS5 on an XP PRO machine, but the features and menus of CS5 were mind boggling and my type of photography does not require serious amounts of post processing. I recently bought a new WIN7 machine with a fast cpu, 32GB of memory and a high end video card. I heard good things about Elements 10 and got a deal at B&H. I only use the edit part of PSE10. The WIN 7 machine and PSE10 really flies and perhaps it will be OK with the large file sizes of the D800, but I think 64 bit addressing will be preferred.

I read somewhere that PSE11 will be out in Sept 2012.
I can't personally vouch for that date.

Elements (version 11) usually comes out in the Fall but no one knows for sure the exact date. Why are so many waiting for the next version of Elements to come on the market? What's wrong with version 10?
