Criterium Racing, Prime Lap

Criterium racing or just Crit for short is largely an American type of racing. Within the race there will be Prime laps, pronounced preem. These are 1 lap races within the race to keep the racers animated and racing full speed with a small usually cash prize to the winner of that lap only! Here a pace line of racers crosses the start line to the sound of a bell ringing, announcing that it's the start of a prime lap with a prize to the lap winner.

That's pretty cool SS. I wouldn't have thought to use a shallow DOF in a shot like this.

Marion, thanks! I do a lot of this shallow DoF stuff. I'll look for some other mtb stuff that would not be a lot different than if you shot motorcycles like this! Thanks
