Camera repair service for my Minolta XK

It's been sitting to long, and I need a CLR service and possible remedial work on the meter of my Minolta XK. Any first hand experience from any of you? Please don't be offended, but I don't need, "I hear that xyz is good." I would like either first hand or someone you know well who knows of a reliable Minolta manual focus camera repair service. Thank you.

The only people, outside of Nikon USA, that I'd trust with my equipment is Tempe Camera Repair.

http://www.tempecamera.biz

They've worked on my Nikon F, Hasselblad 500C, and several lenses. Everything returned in perfect working order.

I've used Authorized Camera Repair in Willow Grove PA several times. They've always done a good job for a reasonable price and they ship and do on-line cost estimates.

We have a fella on the forum who has repaired cameras for twenty five years. He is VERY reasonable because he has little overhead. He works out of his home. I've used him several times and always top quality work. He lives south of Denver. He has a website here's a link

If that is Rick Riggins, avoid this one. Just do a search on this site for posts. It's hit or miss, and long periods of time of not hearing from him.

Try California Precision Services in Sacramento. I have never had a lot of camera repairs, but when I have, they have always been fast, reliable and reasonable. Now I have used them for repairs under warranty or because they were working with dealers I knew and trusted.

Two of my film cameras were rebuilds from a private patry I know and trust implicitly. He works from his home and has an incredible stock of old cameras he uses as parts. If you want to get in touch with him, PM me your private email or phone number and I will pass it on to him. He does not advertise (except by word-of-mouth) and prefers that his name and location not be publicized, but will reveal his location and qualifications when he contacts you.

As far as I know Sony bought Konica-Minolta a few years ago. I bet they have a good answer for you.

I have used C.R.I.S in Arizona on several occasions. Reasonable and fast and excellent service. Don't know about Minolta but they are authorized service for a bunch of brands.

Here in the Portland, Oregon area we have one place that only does film cameras. They are Blue Moon Camera and Machine http://bluemooncamera.com/

They may be worth contacting at least for information.

For somethisn't as old and rare as a Minolta XK I'd look up John Titterington.
