Iceland Trip

My wife and I are planning a trip to Iceland in March of 2017. We leaning towards these two companies for our photo tour. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? We're really not interested in renting a vehicle and wandering around on our own. Thanks in advance.

You may want to do a uhh search on Iceland. Members who have already visited there, and posted incredible photos on this forum, this year, 2016.

I was in Iceland this past March 2016. http://arcticexposure.is/ is the tour company I traveled with. The operator is Skarpi Thrainson, a native born Icelander, and professional photographer. I had my first tour to Iceland with him in February 2014 and I traveled with him and Iurie Belagurshi in Sepember 2014. Iurie is the tour operator who runs the two companies in your post. If I went back to Iceland, I would go with Skarpi but you really can't go wrong with either of them.

Nordic Visitors is probably the best and most reliable of any. We had them 2 years ago and we went to Greenland also. This was in July. Why March?

I just wanted to make it clear that the tours with Skarpi were tours for serious photographers; you are out before sunrise and back after sunset traveling to locations and shooting the entire day plus in March you will be out every evening after dinner chasing the Aurora.

Thanks joehel2 - that's exactly the type of information we were looking for; all of the operators have nice websites, but we were looking for information from someone who had actually been on a tour. Many thanks.
