A Georgia State Historic Site. It is an old stagecoach inn and plantation home built around 1815 by James R. Wyly. He operated it till 1833 when he sold it to his friend Devereaux Jarrett. He had 14,400 acres. Three generations of Jarretts lived there. The state of Georgia purchased the few remaining acres for $8000 in 1955.
