One Lucky Fish Gets Away, Another Does Not

I was watching this tricolored heron fishing yesterday.
Pic 1 the tri is stalking and waiting.
Pic 2 it strikes the water. Notice how one lucky fish, just in front of the bird's face, jumped away just in time to avoid being a meal.
Pic 3 and 4 show the not so lucky fish that did not avoid capture and instead finds itself on the night's menu.
