Hyde Mill comments please

Canon 60d wide angle 10 20. I was there when it was about to rain and staye until it cleared up two photos

prefer the second to the first. light brown tint is not darkennough to be sepia tone to give a timeless feel to the photo. if you photoedit, i would try to lighten up the shadows a bit in #2 to make the mill stand out more, rather then blending in to the background. photo looks very calming

Yes it is and its pretty cool. I plan on going back when there is more sun early in the morning and giving it another try. what do you think of these two photos. I have had mixed comments on another site so looking to see what people have to think

i like # 2 the most have you tryed it in bw i think they are both nice where in wisconsin is it. i go to ceex every now and then.

This mill is between mt horeb and governer dodge. I will try it in black and white to see how it looks

Really like these. I have a couple of mills near me that I have shot. I like old mills so it is nice to see other posts.

I like #2 better. Even with the dark ominous clouds the ground coloring is distinct. Details are visible.
The brown tone in #1 doesn't seem natural.
The old mill is a great subject.
