I took several photos of this Great Blue Heron on Fernan Lake, Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.
First photo - Canon 5Dsr - Canon 100-400 II - Canon 1.4x III - 280mm - 1/500 - f/9 - ISO @ 500 - Distance was about 50-60 feet.
Second photo - Canon 5Dsr - Canon 100-400 II - Canon 1.4x III - 560mm - 1/500 - f/10 - ISO @ 500 - Distance was about 50-60 feet.
Third photo - Canon 5Dsr - Canon 100-400 - Canon 1.4x III - 280mm - 1/500 - f/10 - ISO @ 500 - Distance was about 60-70 feet.

A willing model until I got within 50-60 feet, then it flew away. But, I was lucky to have captured
this interesting large bird.
