Yes, this does sound like a ridiculous question, but I can see it being posted in the future. Samsung is making a fridge with three cameras inside. Yes, three cameras inside. They are Bluetooth and will send images of what's inside to you smartphone. No more opening the door and staring inside, wishing there was something good in there.

Ah, progress!

Next will be smell sensors so that you know when something is "off".

I guess I'm old, because I often think there are features that exist in our tools/appliances/cars/etc. that exist just because an engineer can do it and a marketer said they need it. And I managed an engineering team at a large electronics firm!

Mine (cheesecake - with or without strawberries) doesn't stay in the fridge long enough for any camera to focus on!

To answer directly to the question. No! I would keep whatever came with the fridge. But then I wouldn't know for sure if I would pick a fridge model over another just because it has better camera or not.

And they disappeared soon after if nobody likes it or become very popular if the consumers love it. It's like this is what we can make, do you think we can sell it? May be we'll give it a try.

Hmmmm.
Looking in the refrigerator to "see what's in there" is a good way to cool off in the summer. Don't want to lose that.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Next they'll put them in the bathroom tissue holder so we can make sure we don't run out! If someone really needs their refrigerator to tell them when it's time to restock, they're gonna starve anyway 'cause they're probably too dumb to cook for themselves.

No. This finally answers the question, "does the light stay on when you close the door? It also runs Windows 10, so you are going to see this a lot on the door screen

It doesn't do anyone any good just sitting there.

I thought a transparent door that could be activated by a button would save the constant opening and closing. It's like some people think food just appears inside the fridge, so they keep going back, hoping for something good.

Since in the near future, we will NEVER have to get up for anything, in the evolutionary scheme of things( for those of that believe in such things), how long will it be before we are actually born with LazyBoy attached to our backs?!?!

May be practical when you're out food shopping and you didn't take inventory when you left home. "Do I need to pick up more milk? I'll just check on my phone!"
