I love the reflections of the clouds in the lake. The image conveys to me, a very peaceful setting.
Very interesting name. On the Eastern Sierra, up near Mammoth Lakes, is a lake called "Convict Lake". Lots of people fish there these days. There is a bit of Western history behind the name. http://www.convictlake.com/about/history.html So I'm wondering if similar is true about Horse Thief Lake.

Thank you all for the replies. The Black Hills of South Dakota are beautiful with so many photo opportunities. Spent a week there this time and only scratched the surface of all I wanted to do and explore.

That is for sure! SD is our home and so much to see here. I hate it when we leave and can't wait till we're back for a few months.
