Have you tried the spray for deers and rabbits ? I had to get some last year to keep them from eating my flowers. It has a real bad smell, but the flowers made it :)

I make my own out of dishwashing soap and Hot sauce does a good job but I have to spray every time it rains. My hostas and daylillies ar their favorite targets at other times
