This is a good suggestion. A store that deals with used cameras and lenses is a good place.

Unfortunately I'm at least 150 miles from a good camera retailer. But the next time I go to the cities i will ask at National Camera. Thanks for all the input...

Just call Sigma they r in NY on Long Island in Ronkamana Give them the Serial number and they will tell u or may even send u a manul .

You might try Wikipedia. They have a great depth in their search and find functions. If the lens is worth using maybe you can get an adapter for use on an extra body.

I have an old pentax which looks just like that,and it could also be a minolta MD. would be hard to tell with out trying it or having measurements

This is the only pic I could find of a K mount lens and its a bit blown out, but I don't see the notch that the OP's lens has. Do your K mount lenses have that notch?

No after I looked again, it isn't like my pentax lens .
looks almost like a cut out and a tab. I can't really tell.
But then my lens are AF
