I know what you mean. I was planning on adding at least 3 new lighthouses to my winter collection but it just didn't get cold enough. This is from the 2011 winter.

Nice photo. Are you opening this thread for others to post their winter pictures of lighthouses? I even have some of a lighthouse in Michigan. :-)

Ok...my Michigan friends. I'm stuck in Texas and can't get this shot. I remember being in Detroit with my Dad and seeing the ice of the Detroit River breaking up and flowing. Chunks so huge you could walk on them. Def. worth a trip for a great photo next year.

mine..the first is South Haven on lk michigan..
the second, by Opus...is I believe St Joesph, Mi 25 miles south of South Haven...if I'm wrong, Opus let us know...

"Chunks so huge you could walk on them." In various parts of the State, ice fishermen do end up riding some of those ice chunks. not intentionaly!!
