Pay Pal and ram memory

Its been a while since I purchased Ram memory from a company on ebay and paid by Pay pal trying to increase speed for doing Photograph work. When I received the memory sticks it would not run on my machine even though it should have been the acceptable amount of memory and supposedly the correct model code for the machine. As soon as I put the old Ram in the machine and memory works. I attempted to contacted the company twice through pay pal and I eventually made a claim. Pay Pal said to send it back, and I did. Somehow Pay Pal says 'I sent; a wrong tracking Number (I sent it by USPS and it was a correct tracking number). Maybe they typed in a wrong tracking number or looked at UPS. What the problem is I have no Ram memory or $90 that I paid, because Pay Pal says they closed the complaint. What would the next step be? After all $90 is $90 dollars and the protection from Pay Pal seems - well I very leary of Pay Pal now.

What did the company you bought it from have to say? Seems they're the one to contact first about making an exchange, not PayPal.

If you used a CC to pay PayPal, dispute the charge on the CC, if you draw directly from your bank, then you should file another complaint with PayPal...

I second that, Crucial is a great company to do business and great with exchanges, even after the exchange period is up. I had a very good experience with them

My son recently bought 16GB from them, and it arrived within a couple of days.

Have you actually called PayPal on the phone & told them what happened? Or, at the very least, had a chat session with a PP agent?

Regarding the actual RAM. Go to the RAM manufacturer's website and see if you can punch in your computer and find the correct RAM. Then see if the numbers on your RAM match the indicated sticks you bought.

Contact both PayPal and the seller. Here's a tip about PayPal. On every site I've seen that requires PP, there is always the option of using a credit card. That's my choice, rather than PP. I've never had any trouble using PP, but I prefer to avoid having a balance with them that I have to pay.

I have a PP credit card which I use infrequently. Having one gives me a secure feeling because I know I'm protected.
My only issue with PP is their website. They show my "balance," but I always get confused not knowing if that's the "balance" I owe, or the "balance" from any sales.
You can earn points with PP and get things like an Amazon gift card.
However, the credit card I get the most protection from is Discover. They have covered my butt a few times.

Yes, I agree about their "Balance."

I have a couple of Chase CCs, and they have called me when they saw suspicious charges, like $600 worth of clothing in NJ, or a large purchase in Israel. They cancelled the cards and sent me new ones. I also like the fact that they give a 5% rebate on three different types of purchases every quarter.

Yes, Discover does the same thing.
Years ago I visited my son who was in tha Navy stationed in Pearl Harbor. I used my Discover card there.
When I got home, Discover called me and asked if I had been out of the country. I told them I hadn't, but I was in Hawaii.
OK, they said. Someone tried to charge a hotel room in Indonesia...for $18.00. They declined payment. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

A hotel room for $18. I don't think I want to stay there.

I recently got a MasterCard from Sam's club. MC is the only kind they accept, and it pays 5% back on gas all the time. It pays 2% on some things and 1% everything else. They issue a rebate check in February. As long as I don't carry a balance, it's all gravy.
