Last April 8th a duck laid an egg in front of me, then got up and left leaving me with the egg. It was real cold that morning so knew it would not last long. I took the egg in my right hand and put two gloves on over it. I then stuck it in my pocket. I walked around all morning long with the egg in my pocket. I finale got hold of a incubator and put the egg in it. Yesterday he started to hatch. I was going to take pics. of this whole proses when complications started,he was having trouble so we had to help him out of the egg. I don't think he would have made it on his own. So here is a picture of my son the duck.LOL
Cute baby, looking forward to seeing him grow up. Thanks for sharing and saving the egg.

You have a beautiful son! wonderful job taking it and getting it into an incubator!
Thanks for what you did. Nice photos and can't wait to see more.
I had a friend who hatched a wild duck egg, and raised it with his chickens. He grew up not knowing he could fly. Also might have been too fat to take off ..ducks are tougher than chickens, he got way more feed.

Great story. We have a rooster called the colonel. He is the baddest thing on two legs. Every wednesday night we have to lock him up because he gos to the fire house and chases little old ladies around the parking lot. Bingo night. The rule is every time he gos after someone he gets locked up. he is in lock up now. lol
