About 12 years ago I was at Jacques Costeau's aquarium in Monaco. I was downstairs in the basement when there was an announcement made in French over the speaker system. I had no idea what the announcement was about. I noticed a lot of people left. I stayed where I was. Suddenly, all the lights in the place went out. I found myself in total darkness except for the light coming from the fish tanks. The tanks must be on a different circuit. Using my Konica film camera and my trusty 57mm f/1.2 lens, I captured this very slowly moving fish.
He is so ugly, he's cute. LOL Thanks

He also happens deliver a potent venom via its needle-like dorsal fins. Its sting is extremely painful to humans and can cause nausea and breathing difficulties, but is rarely fatal.
Beautiful capture! A friend of mine used to have some in a salt water tank in a local pub, awesome fish to watch!

Trust me, I'll stay away. LOL
Awesome picture! They are one of my favorite fish, so graceful, I am going to Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, they have a tank with numerous lions, I got some good photos the last time I was there, Aprox 10 years ago. Hopefully I'll get some better shots this year, I have better equipment and hopefully more experience. Thanks for sharing
One of my favorite fish at the Cleveland zoo's aquarium. Love to watch them gracefully swim with those facinating fins and tail.
This one is at the Oklahoma State Aquarium in Jenks OK.

Looks like his brother. BTW, I have been using a Sony A900 for the past few years. My post was taken years ago with a 35mm film camera.

I really like the color sharpness you got with it.
