These were a couple of poor quality jpegs from my p&s that I was about to discard, but I liked the composition and wanted to preserve the memory. I worked with them for a little while in Camera Raw and Nix. I am new to both programs, but these come close to my ˜VISION so I am very pleased with myself. They wont stand up to much enlargement, but they look nice as a screensaver.
I like them. Both original, to my eye.
In the history, there have been painters who were not skillful enough with their drawings but their work have been recognized as the most appreciated breakthrough in the world of art. Some new form of art were frequently considered as primitive or even barbaric.
In spite of that, the power of the expression victoriously took over and established a new way of visual communicating.
That is the point reminding us what art really is?
It is the idea the artist is communicating with the society on several different levels and not the way of delivery of such an idea.
Whether you use the house painter's brush, your own fingers or piece of wood is irrelevant. The same goes for the quality of your camera. It is irrelevant.
It is what you are trying to say with the image, what counts.
Thank you all for your kind comments. Your encouragement inspires me to keep trying to take the next step.
I really like both of them, repleo!
