My best Turkey portrait so far.

Today was partly cloudy which allowed me to get a good sharp Turkey photo without the harsh
sun creating dark shadows,
560mm @ 50-60 feet.
Canon 5Dsr - Canon 100-400 II - Canon 1.4x III - 1/500 - f/11 - ISO @ 400.
Details are outstanding.
I love "cloudy bright" light for most things. Well except things that need high shutter speeds.

I thank you, Robert. Generally, sunny days are good for detailed photos, but sometimes the shadows are too dark
and hide the details.

I appreciate your nice comment, Debbie. I thank you for looking at my photo.
Fantastic colors on that bird. Great portrait.
Regis great capture. I've always enjoy your great bird photography.
Beautiful capture, Regis. The resolution was very good and the color was excellent. You said it was "shot" at 560mm; what lens did you use?

Thank you very much, Yooper. I have never been this close to a wild turkey to notice all
the variety of colors in their feathers.

These large wild turkeys stay in a 140 acre forested park and come out once in a while
looking for food to eat nearby in a neighbor's back yard which is next-door to this park.
I was lucky today to see these 4 turkey's before they disappeared back into the forest.
Thank you very much, lightcatcher, for your nice comment.

I used my Canon 100-400 II lens with a Canon 1.4x III extender with my 50.6 mp Canon 5Dsr camera. This combo results in great photo detail.
I thank you very much, Photomacdog.
Looks superb in the download.
Well taken.
