I didn't know what to expect when I clicked on the link. :D
Now, that looks like fun! In the first video, the gal is a lot better looking, but that big guy has some moves!
Ah cuz, you take me back to my youth and those summer trips to North Myrtle Beach.
Hey, it wasn't Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, but I enjoyed it because they were just regular folks having a very good time.

When Barbara and I were young we would go to Ocean Drive in North Myrtle Beach for vacation every July. We stayed at a property that had 8 units just across the street from the beach and the lady that owned it had her own apartment in the building. She had 2 grandchildren and our son was about 7 years old. They always played together. She watch after our son a couple of evenings while we were there, so Barbara and I would head to Fat Harold's for a fun night dancing the shag. We stayed on the 2nd floor of the building. It had a nice covered porch with rocking chairs and a beautiful view of the Atlantic. We could walk to Fat Harold's, or for that matter any place else in Ocean Drive. That building is still there but the ocean view is blocked by high rise condos. Thanks for sharing the link. Lot's of great memories.

Hey Cuz! Sounds like dancing runs in our family....Linda and I did lots of Western Dancing and spent a lot of time in MB, but we never tried the Shag...went over there and looked for the Shag Dancing clubs, but didn't find them at that time and I guess we just didn't pursue it further. We had an RV membership in Briarcliffe RV Resort in North MB and spent a lot of time there. I always regretted not going there and doing more dancing in that area. There was a dance club at Broadway At The Beach while we were there so we spent our time Western Dancing there. And, I started my Ballroom Dancing after learning all the basics from my brother who taught at a Fred Astaire Studio in Hampton, VA while working at the shipyard there. Guess there's no better way to spend an evening than listening and dancing to great music. Thanks for enlightening me about your dancing...I know you were great. I have Neuropathy in my feet, which affects my equilibrium, and can't do any dancing
now...but, sure do miss it.
